DEBBY BARKEY - Collaborative Pianist
Born and raised on a farm in Iowa, Debby received her Bachelor of Music Education degree
from the University of Iowa and her Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas Women’s University.
Debby has 26 years experience as a choral director and has served as a part time church
music director and accompanist. She has accompanied choir and band students at the middle
school, high school and collegiate levels, All-Region choirs, and the Texas All-State Treble
Choir. Debby serves on the music staff of First United Methodist Church of Hurst and is a
freelance accompanist in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
